Monica Moran is an occupational therapist, university educator and researcher. She is a founding member of the Australasian Interprofessional Practice and Education Network (AIPPEN) and is active in several international research teams focusing on interprofessional learning. In 2015 she assumed the role of President of the Australia and New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators. She has been involved with the development and evaluation of interprofessional education since 2006 and in 2010 she was a member of the international group that produced the WHO Framework for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice. Along with academics from QUT Monica coordinates the national student competition the HealthFusion Team Challenge. Other research interests include the development of professional identities within the health professions and the inclusion of consumers as educators in health education programs.
She is currently an Associate Professor of Rural Health at The University of Western Australia.
