Jill Thistlethwaite is a health professional education consultant, medical adviser at NPS MedicineWise and adjunct professor at University of Technology Sydney. She received her medical degree from University College London and has since practised as a general practitioner (family doctor) in both the UK and Australia. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed papers, written many book chapters, and authored and edited several books focussing mainly on health professional communication, professionalism and IPE. . Jill is co-editor-in-chief of The Clinical Teacher and an associate editor of the Journal of Interprofessional Care.
Jill has been working in the field of interprofessional education and collaborative practice for over 20 years. She has been the recipient of three grants in Australia focussing on IPE that are feeding into this current project. In 2014 she was a Fulbright senior scholar at the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education in the USA. She is a co-author on the recently published ‘International consensus statement on the assessment of interprofessional learning outcomes’.
